He was acting stiff this morning and whimpered when we touched him. So we got him into the vet an hour later and he's got a possible bulging disc or a pulled muscle (we are hoping its this). He's on 3 different meds and I'm keeping him resting at all times with constant supervision. He's 6yrs old, and I'm really contemplating getting insurance for him, and my 3.5yr old dapple female. Thank you for your story about insurance and your dog...it was a great read and made me hopeful he can get better. I've had dachshunds all my life and can't imagine my life w/out one.
