Thank for for visiting the site and for your kind words!

I am sorry to hear about Max&#039;s problem but I think he will gradually come out of this!  Just keep doing what you are doing and when he does recover don&#039;t let him get too obese or jump too much.  I fully agree with your approach.

I do have a feeling though that Max will come out of this!

		<description>I just stumbled across your story about Charlie..and it is very similar to what happened to my dog Max today. He was acting stiff this morning and whimpered when we touched him. So we got him into the vet an hour later and he&#039;s got a possible bulging disc or a pulled muscle (we are hoping its this). He&#039;s on 3 different meds and I&#039;m keeping him resting at all times with constant supervision. He&#039;s 6yrs old, and I&#039;m really contemplating getting insurance for him, and my 3.5yr old dapple female. Thank you for your story about insurance and your dog...it was a great read and made me hopeful he can get better. I&#039;ve had dachshunds all my life and can&#039;t imagine my life w/out one. Most have had the full ruptured discs :(  Thank you again!</description>
